Dr. Bertina A. Else, EdD
Founder, Director & Lead Teacher
Bertina was born and raised in Marshall, Texas. After high school, she attended UNT in Denton,TX and obtained a double BBA. Aftewards, she obtained her MBA from the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, KS and a doctorate in Education from Grand Canyon University. Her love of education and children caused her to pursue a career in teaching, where she has taught in elementary education for several years.
As a former youth mentor, and through her love of education and passion for children, Bertina decided to follow her dream and open Amory's Bright Beginnings Academy. "I love to bond with each child and desire to help them learn and grow with hope to make a small impact in their lives."
Gwendolyn Else
Administrator, Teacher
Gwendolyn was born and raised in the DFW Metroplex. She is a 2022 graduate of UNT Denton, TX where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Applied Behavior Analysis.

She has worked as a lead teacher and developed curriculum for early childhood learning facilities. Gwendolyn also has experience as a Registered Behavioral Therapist to support students with special needs. She is impassioned about her work and brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to the program.
